Warning: This post contains full-frontal male nudity and may be inappropriate for work environments. Sure, depicting a naked body can lead to objectification and sexualization as women can surely attest. But a powerful nude representation also has the power to be empowering, liberating, and, of course, beautiful. In , photographer Abigail Ekue embarked on a mission to photograph the unclothed male body in a truthful, expressive and direct manner, a style Ekue saw was lacking in the larger cultural lexicon. How to Photograph the Female Nude: 12 Steps (with Pictures)
Yesterday my drawing group had a new model he had never posed nude before. He acted very nervous and maybe a little scared. I think he thought he would be posing for just one artist not six. Anyway after a few minutes he got an erection. I asked if he was ok or if he wanted to take a break to calm down. He asked what we wanted him to do one of the other women said she would prefer him to hold the pose, so he did and he calmed down but throughout the session he would occasionally loose control and his erection would return. After the class, the six of us went for lunch and one of the women said I don't know about the rest of you but did some great drawings this morning and loved every minute when our model was aroused.

Fine art nude photography is a genre of fine-art photography which depicts the nude human body with an emphasis on form, composition , emotional content, and other aesthetic qualities. The nude has been a prominent subject of photography since its invention, and played an important role in establishing photography as a fine art medium. The distinction between fine art photography and other subgenres is not absolute, but there are certain defining characteristics. Erotic interest, although often present, is secondary, which distinguishes art photography from both glamour photography , which focuses on showing the subject of the photograph in the most attractive way, and pornographic photography , which has the primary purpose of sexually arousing the viewer. Fine art photographs are also not taken to serve any journalistic, scientific, or other practical purpose.
